Last Sunday night my friends and I decided to eat sushi. There’s one thing I love as much as pizza and that is sushi! So, since it was weekend and it was spontaneous, we trusted our friend @thereeneeborhood for finding the place.
We went to Kampai Alley, located in Columbia’s downtown district off Broadway. As soon as we stepped in, I liked the place: the ambience&atmosphere make it look perfect for hangout with your friends or for a date. The music is relaxing and the restaurant interior is comfortable and inviting.
The sushi restaurant offers an incredible selections of soups, salads, rolls and more.
I started off with some gyoza steamed with chicken dumpling. They were served with a spicy sesame sauce. The savory sauce was really good.
After the starter, we had the main course…rolls! It was such a hard choice, everything on the menu looked so good! I picked one of the special rolls called crazy made of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, eel and crab. I liked the consistency, the rice was well cooked. I was hoping the rolls were more, a little disappointed for that.
I loved my friend’s choice: tiger rolls: avocado, crab meat, tokarashi, mayonnaise topped with tiger shrimp and smelt roe.
In conclusion, the sushi restaurant was a nice place. The prices range greatly depending on the selections, the waitress served us provided impeccable assistance. A great vibe that welcomes its patrons to relax and enjoy the experience is waiting for you here.
I’m giving Kampai 3.5 hearts out of 5!
