Caffè Pasticceria Sant’Orsola is a downtown cafe run by Menalli’s family who owns the famous “Caffè del Tasso” in Città Alta, Bergamo. The Cafe is open seven days a week and it’s a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or a tasty break.
My girfriend and I stopped in for breakfast. The place is really wide and bright. There are tables for two or four people and a cute spot with pillows. We got a typical italian breakfast with cappuccino and croissants.
There was a good range of croissants we could choose from. There was apricot jam, cream, or chocolate, just to name a few. We both got the chocolate flavour.
They were crispy on the outside and kinda soft on the inside. The chocolate cream inside was too much though.
I really liked the cappuccino, a good taste and not too strong. We also got two praline chocolates to try: coffee (right side) and cinnamon (left side). The coffee flavour was the best while the other one was overly sweet.
This Cafe is a good way to enjoy breakfast in downtown Bergamo. They also sell items including jam and pastries from Bergamo-area stores. Check it out!
I give Caffè Pasticceria Sant’Orsola 4 hearts out of 5!
