The Amalfi Coast is among my favorite places in Italy. You can feel that dolce vita everywhere: beautiful beaches, amazing food, sunny weather.
This area is so highly revered for its beauty that it’s even been given the honor of joining the world’s elite as a UNESCO world heritage site. I cannot stress this enough – if you ever have the chance to visit the Amalfi Coast, do it. You won’t be disappointed.
If you’re visiting Italy and wondering where to stay in Amalfi Coast, look no further than Hotel Marmorata.
This is a wonderful four star hotel with friendly staff and an excellent location that provides a free shuttle service to Amalfi and Ravello and boat private tours. It has a small gym if you like to work out and a wellness area to relax .
I can spend hours looking for a hotel. One of my priorities is definitely a good bed but I do enjoy views (who would like a terrace or nice outdoor area?). Hotel Marmorata‘s bedding not only passed this test with flying colors, I was actually looking forward to falling asleep. The spacious beds are covered with white and blue luxury textiles.
Details are everywhere
The floors are Vietri ceramics, handmade pottery from Vietri Sul Mare, a small fishing village at the entrance of the Amalfi Coast, a World Heritage Site since 1997. Even though there are structures on the property that seems to be dated, it’s only pure appearance. The hotel resembles a sail ship from the old times but don’t worry, you’ll still have all the modern amenities.
The bathroom has the option to have led blue lights. It was really surprising at first and I particularly enjoyed it because it felt like you were in a aquarium. One side note, the shower was a little small and sometimes it was difficult to shower.
It’s also the ideal location to explore other gems in the Amalfi Coast like Ravello, Minori, Sorrento, Positano and Capri.
They also serves an abundant breakfast buffet of fresh fruits, cakes, prosciutto and cheese.
Nina and I love morning breakfasts. We really enjoyed eating while we were looking at the ocean and watching the little boats passing by.

Dining Experience
My girlfriend and I had the pleasure to experience a magical dinner in the veranda next to the sea, at the hotel restaurant l’Antica Cartiera
From the starter, to the primi and secondi, everything looks amazing in the menu. My favorite were definitely the fried zucchini flowers with salt cod, beautifully displayed in a tarallo cream with anchovies, nuts and citrus powder.
The menu has a wide selection of seafood and meat, as well as dessert and wine. Each and every dish is cooked under the direction of the Chef Aldo Cretella and his team, who select premium ingredients.
In conclusion, Hotel Marmorata is the perfect place to stay in the Amalfi Coast and offers something for everyone. Thank you to Hotel Marmorata for hosting us and making our stay so special!
This post was made it possible thanks to the collaboration with Hotel Marmorata. All opinions are my own.
