Nestled right in the heart of the famous Juliet’s balcony, a landmark and a must attraction in Verona, Il Sogno di Giulietta (Juliette’s dream in English) is one of the best hotels in Verona and the only one that gives you the opportunity to wake up looking at the balcony depicted by Shakespeare in his well-known play. The sixteen rooms of the Relais are decorated with furniture of significant prestige and adorned with antique rugs. In other words, they combine beauty and history with warm hospitality and world-class service making it the perfect place for a luxurious and romantic getaway in the Italian city of love.
In general, Verona is a magical place with irresistible charm. Mazes, tree-lined roads and galleries are doors that open in an enchanted world: a world where palaces have the power of speech to tell stories and bring the memories of the past to the present.
O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? For Romeo is at Juliet’s house in Verona! Whether you are hopeless romantics like @nina.mclernon and I, love the movie, Letter’s to Juliet, or are a fan of Shakespeare, you simply cannot miss Juliet’s house. It is a little hidden from the city center, almost like the movie, Letter’s to Juliet, depicts.
The Relais de Charme Il Sogno di Giulietta is centered on the left side of Juliet’s courtyard. Not only you have a perfect downtown location in the historical center but you get to enjoy and live firsthand the moment where Romeo and Juliet declared their love for each other. In other words, at night only the guests of the hotel have the privilege to stay in the courtyard as the gates are closed to tourists.
Juliet, in the famous balcony scene of the second act, pronounces a solemn promise of love.
“And I will follow thee my lord throughout the world”
W. Shakespeare ( Romeo and Juliet Act II, Scene II)
In general, all the rooms of the property have wood parquet flooring, visible low-beamed ceilings and services as minibar, flat screen TV with satellite channels and free WI-FI Internet.
All the bathroom are provided with a Jacuzzi bathtub and a customized courtesy line.
Another praiseworthy notation is breakfast. It’s served in the room at the time you desire between 7.30 and 10.30 am. Therefore, at your arrival, you get a paper where you’ll check off what you would like to eat in the morning.
From a coffee, to fresh squeezed orange juice, bacon and eggs or yogurt.
Aside from the morning sweet treat, we loved our room “The World” for the simple yet elegant design and above all the view which made our stay a romantic and memorable one.

In conclusion we loved the time we spent at Il Sogno di Giulietta. It’s amazing how many tourists visit Verona every day; most of them they just come to have a quick glimpse of Juliet’s courtyard. However, we felt very special to have it all for ourselves.
This post was made it possible thanks to the collaboration with Hotel Il Sogno di Giulietta. All opinions are my own.
